The Informants at the Soiled Dove Underground in Denver, Colorado on July 30, 2009,
and again at the Louisville (Colorado) Downtown Street Faire on July 10, 2009.

I saw The Informants perform in the summer of 2009.  I came upon the show by chance at a street fair in Louisville, Colorado, as part of their summer concert series at their little bandshell by the railroad tracks.  I was just wandering around with nothing better to do.

When the band walked out on stage, I was initially skeptical.  They were dressed too flashy and had too much swagger.  I thought to myself "boy, if you guys suck, you're going to look really foolish.  You better be able to fill up those outfits."

They delivered, totally:  a rocking retro throwdown of grooves and vibes that had the whole place swinging.  The Informants really know how to put on a show.

If you like old school Jump Blues, Swing Blues, Rockabilly Blues or whatever, this band is totally worth the trip.  Regardless of your tastes, it's hard not to be impressed by the high energy and top-shelf musicianship that this band displays.  Everyone in the band has a great stage vibe and they really keep things hopping.

I liked them so much that I went and saw them again a couple of weeks later at the Soiled Dove Underground in Denver, Colorado.

If you want a rockin' good time, The Informants will not disappoint you.  Check 'em out.  As good as their recordings are, their live show is much better, because it's hard to squeeze all that energy into the grooves of a record or the bits of a CD.
