![]() Arches National Park is in east central Utah just north of the town of Moab. Since Moab and the entire surrounding areas are very popular with tourists, you can expect a crowd. However, this gem of a park is worth a visit. The scenery is fantastic, hence its popularity. You may have to wait in a long line just to get in the gate. The park contains the largest group of natural arches in the world, spread throughout the park. Most famous of all is Delicate Arch, one of the most photographed natural landmarks in the world. It's definitely a sight to see and worth putting up with the crowds to get to. It's about a three mile hike roundtrip to see Delicate Arch. There are many other interesting arches in the park, and the sandstone formations in general are very picturesque and beautiful. Nearby is Canyonlands National Park, the Colorado River, Moab, and much more. | ||||||||
