I came to live in Colorado in 1989 simply because I wanted to be near the mountains and live in the west, near most of our national parks and public lands. One of my goals is to visit all of the national parks of the United States, and so far I have been to all of them in the 48 contiguous states. I want to go back to many of the others, because I don't have any good photos from them. It's a lifelong process. Alaska will be the Grand Finale of my national park tour, as there are eight huge parks there, more than any other state besides California. When I finish up on the US, I want to get started on the Canadian parks. I also love visiting the many hot springs around the west, and I like to write up reviews and provide pictures and information about those too.
